In this moment in time,
When the walls are razed,
Theres too much to ask,
Too many miles ahead
Of a distant dream that
Seems like a fairytale.
My shadow lies beneath my feet,
Firmly planted, safe and neat,
While I roam blinded
By the light of the morning sky.
Pain is welcome but memories are not,
All the stupidness that time has brought,
Is finally, I'm afraid, catching up with me.
